Winter Challenge event details

A completely new Finland Selects concept - competition at its core!

Event description: Games will be played in two divisions and the preliminary round will be played on Friday and Saturday. A playoff round will be played between the divisions on Saturday, from which the teams will advance to the semi-final matches of different levels. Depending on their success, the teams will advance to the play-off matches of different levels on Sunday (final and bronze game), which will be played in two-part matches. The competition will continue until the last match. Players at all levels will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.

Includes: 7 x 45-60 min games, lunch and dinner on Friday, lunch and dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday, a jersey that will be returned to the coach after the last game. The event will accept a maximum of 12 goalkeepers, 36 defenders, 54 forwards.

NORWAY SHD team will be presented with 2 goalies, 6 Defensemen, 9 forwards.

The event is open to all AAA players. Not all players will be accepted to the team and the level of all players who apply for the camp will be determined according to the process. Some players will remain on the waiting list and will be invited to the event if places become available.

Location: The event will be held in ice rinks in the Tampere area (final ice rinks will be announced to participants in good time by age group)

The tournament days will start and end as follows (minor changes may occur):

Fri: 10:00-21:00
Sat: 8:30 - 20:00
Sun: 8:30 - 18:30

Hotel accommodation & Flights: The participants are responsible to book their own travel.

Payment schedule:
- €100 booking fee after approval
- Final payment by 31.10.2025
- Those registered after 31.10. must pay in full immediately.

Cancellations: The booking fee is non-refundable if a player accepted into the tournament cancels their participation. 14 days before the start of the tournament due to injury or similar impediment, we will refund 50% of the tournament fee. If a player cancels their participation later than 14 days before the start of the tournament, the organizer will not refund the tournament fee. We will write a certificate for possible insurance or similar.
